"Helping stars to shine brightly"
Year Two Computing
This half term we have been programmers, we began our learning by creating algorithms and programming our friends to move from one part of a castle to another. We used directional language like turn left, forwards, turn right and backward in our algorithms.
We then explored our Pro-Bots which are programmable cars. We worked out how to operate them and had great fun experimenting with algorithms to get the Pro-Bots to the correct place on the mats. When our algorithms didn't work, we used our detective skills to debug the problem!
We completed our programming unit by using a website called Scratch. Scratch uses coding to program Sprites around the different backdrops, we even learnt how to create our own space themed backdrops.
