The Final Straw Foundation Visit
Today our Year 1 children had a special visitor from The Final Straw Foundation. Lissie who came to visit is an expert in ocean health and talked to the children about how incredible our oceans are and how we can help to stop plastic pollution. The children listened so carefully and asked many thoughtful questions. We were shocked to learn many of the statistics such as during one local beach clean over 5000 cotton buds were found! Our mission as part of our exciting ‘Commotion in the ocean’ topic is to now design some eye catching posters to help spread the word about the dangers of plastic pollution and what we can all do to help.
